What did you love doing when you were a child?

When I was a child I loved climbing trees. We had an oak tree that stood taller than the two story town homes we lived in. The neighborhood kids would climb that tree and sit up in it until our parents came looking for us. (The long climb down was never fun.)

I loved playing outside and took dance classes from the time I was 6 until I graduated from high school. Of course I wrote, and read, a lot too.

Today, I still love to do the same things. I love being outside, climbing (though I climb rocks now, not trees) and I love dancing and writing.

Today’s Romance Writing Story Starter

In today’s story starter, your heroine is doing something that makes her feel like a kid again. Maybe she’s roller skating. Maybe she’s surfing or building a sand castle. Maybe she’s climbing a tree, fixing a car, or playing kickball.

As she’s in her bliss and enjoying her childhood passion, she’s being watched by someone. Who is he? Why is he watching her? How do they meet?
