So yesterday was supposed to be the end of the world. To be honest, I wasn’t aware of that belief until Friday night – which of course would have been too late. Not that I would have done anything differently, I mean what do you do on the last day of the world besides tell everyone you love that you love them?
Anyway, that’s your story starter for today – it’s the last day of the world (you decide why this is the case. Maybe some country is dropping a nuclear bomb or maybe the planets are too close and they’re going to collide). Your story opens up with your heroine preparing for it. (I think it would be fun to approach this dismal subject as a romantic comedy but hey, maybe a paranormal or fantasy approach would be more appropriate.)
Of course she survives the event and the rest of the story can be about how she survives. How her life changes and who she meets along the way.
