“OMG – Today is going to be totally epic!”

That’s a quote from my almost 15 year old daughter who has been obsessed with this day for almost a year now.

She’ll be in school at 11:11 a.m. and hopefully asleep at 11:11 p.m. But nonetheless she’s geeked.

Do you have plans for the day? Will you pause at 11:11 to do a happy dance?

Are you doing it?

I’m not. Every time I imagine myself committing to it I see a vision of my home that looks like a horders episode. I see the dished piled up several feet high in the kitchen. I see my children wearing dirty clothing and I see my pets …well never mind.

It’s silly, really because I probably write around 5000-7500 words a day as a freelance writer. And because I’m finishing up a novel I spend at least an hour a day editing. Surely adding another 1700 words wouldn’t result in such a catastrophic mess. Nonetheless, I’m not doing NANOWRIMO. I’m going to stay focused on the projects in front of me and not add anything to my schedule.

If you are doing NANOWRIMO you might find the tips at http://www.spacejock.com.au/NaNoWriMo.html to be helpful. There are a few downloads that may be helpful too.

Enjoy this EPIC DAY!
