It’s time to roll around in your characters. Like a happy piglet in the dirt you’re going to get inside your characters, feel them on your skin and know them intimately.

You’re going to become one with them.

First, download the Character Development Worksheet.

Next, create a scene with your character.  You can use one of the story starters on this site or you can create a scene that shows your character doing something she loves, facing conflict or having a conversation with someone. When writing your scene remember to stay consistent with the character you’ve created with your worksheet.

Spend about 30 minutes on this one. It’s okay to create your character and then come back to him or her later to flesh them out and create your scene.
