I grew up in Ann Arbor rooting for the University of Michigan Wolverines. It was a tradition in our home and when they were in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day, well let’s just say we devoted our full energy to watching football.
Times have changed in the world of college football, and most everywhere. (I didn’t actually go to UofM but instead chose to go to Michigan State because I wanted to go into Advertising and it has one of the top programs in the country for advertising.)
Today, my alma mater (which means ‘nourishing mother’ in Latin – weird, right?) is playing the Wisconsin Badgers in the first Big Ten Championship. I have nothing against the Badgers and in fact would root for them on any other day against any other team, but today they’re playing my Michigan State Spartans.
So, I apologize to all of the non-football fans out there and I know there are many, but today’s set the mood Saturday is devoted to Sparty and my beloved football team. It’d be so awesome to see them in the Rose Bowl this year!
Be safe! Have fun! Win!
